Triple simple knot

A triple simple knot is obtained if the running end is passed into the loop three times. By the same principle, a multiple simple knot can be made: it is enough to pass the running end of the rope through the loop several times. The triple simple knot is often used by fishermen, and in the Middle Ages it was worn by church servants as a symbol of the sacred triple vow.

1. Make a simple knot, but do not tighten it. Then pass the end of the rope twice through the resulting loop.

2. Pull the ends of the rope until a diagonal wrap appears in front and the knot takes the form of an eight.

3. Pull the ends of the rope and secure the knot. There should be no visible voids in it.
